Now I’m so excited about chickens, composting, worm composting, rabbits, gardening, and yard work that I simply do not want to sleep. I’m not even sure I can sleep at this point.

Got soooo much accomplished today. Had an awesome day with my mom and roommates. It really was a spectacular experience. :D Oh, and the kitties have bell collars now. Each cat has a different sound. Now they can’t sneak up on each other… or on us! Plus they won’t be considered strays if they somehow manage to leave the property. Yay! :)

The landlady totally made my day! Padraic and I get to sign a new lease. We get to stay here. We’re fixing up the pond and the gardens. The place is looking better each day! She told me where a secret pile of compost, manure, and dirt is. Perfect! I freaking love my life right now. :)

I can still smell garlic.
I planted 10 sprouted garlic cloves. Each clove can produce one garlic bulb. How did this happen? I separated the bulb into individual cloves and small clusters. Then I left them in a loosely sealed sandwich bag on top of my fridge for a few weeks. The dark, damp environment causes them to sprout. Moisture should be already present from the bulb itself. I am so tempted to tell my honest opinion. I always hold back. I never share all of my thoughts. I don’t think people would like me very much if I did… I’m a critical bitch. Not that people really like me a whole lot as it is.

It isn’t fair. I wish my dad had called me so I could have said goodbye. Pooka was one of my best friends. In this cruel world, its easier for me to connect with animals. He was such a special kitty.
